Shab-e-Barat was observed with traditional reverence and religious fervour here on Friday in rural and urban areas of Sialkot, Daska, Pasrur and Sambrial tehsils of Sialkot district.
On this occasion the city mosques were decorated with colourful lights and nightlong prayers were offered. The Ulema while addressing the meeting held in connection with Shab-e-Barat highlighted the philosophy of this important occasion and devout sought mercy and forgiveness from Almighty Allah.
They called upon the people that they should follow the etchings of Islam and Prophet Hazrat Muhammad (PBUH) the greatest educator of mankind for overcoming our multifarious problems and difficulties. They called upon the people that they should shun their petty differences and forge unity among their ranks to foil the evil designs of anti-Islamic forces with iron hand and unity.
